hey guys, Im thinking of travelling to South America for my 21st birthday which will be in June 2011. Im bringing a girlfriend with me and it will be our first time travelling there. I want to know the good places to party but also see what the countries have to offer. Were both uni students so im after a dirty cheap holiday! Unfortunately is has to be kept within 3 weeks, uni holidays are not long enough! Any tips you have for me would be awesome 😊 Reply to this

I can help you with Peru, Ecuador or Colombia. Peru I wouldn't suggest just for partying, but you have a lot of things that are worldwide known to see - Machu Pichu, Lake Titicaca, Colca Canyon is the usual route. The prices of food and accommodation are quite cheap but the trips and the transportation not so much.

Ecuador on the other hand is the cheapest for transportation and the distances are not so big, so you can do more in less time - and is really diverse with jungle on one side, then volcanoes, spas, hikes and beaches on the other side. For partying I would say that Ecuador offers some good vibe in Quito, Baños or beach towns.

But the best party I think is in Colombia - Medellin, Cali, Cartagena have some really good clubs (districts) with bunch of bars and clubs. The bad side of this is that Colombia is the most expensive among the three countries.

In the end I can say that we've been traveling for about three months now in these 3 countries and I think that Colombia seems to be the most fun and with a bunch of stuff to do.
