Booking Domestic Flight on Ctrip
Has anyone booked a China domestic flight on Ctrip?

I just booked a domestic on China Eastern through Ctrip, and at the end of the booking process, I didn't see any successful booking or confirmation or similar.
I also didn't get any eticket or confirmation through email.

What gives?

Hi,

I have booked domestic flights on Ctrip on a few accounts. If the booking process didn't succeed (and it sounds like it hasn't) you can contact them directly (the e-mailaddress is on their website), they speak good English. Another way of checking if your booking was successful is by logging in on the Ctrip website (customers have their own log-in account) and see what is listed in your account.

Good luck! Reply to this

yeah- the exact thing has happened to me as well. They told me I didn't need an e ticket I can just rock up to the airport with my booking number and its okay? Does this seem to work then? Reply to this

I have done this on numerous occasions in China, in fact you just need your passport for check-in. But I always had a booking number, just to be certain, but they never asked for it. Reply to this

Only used Ctrip once for a flight, in 2007, and it was the same situation as for the other posters. Make a note of your booking number just in case. Reply to this

http://jetradar.com is the only place I go to search flights now, after consistently finding them to find the best deals. They don't 'promote' any particular airline, but are totally transparent, plus they include the extra fees and taxes that you know you have to pay but many other 'comparison' sites leave off. This is helpful, as you can make a fair assessment of which is the best price. Reply to this

I found the Ctrip web client has its own login account and see what is listed in your account. Sometimes they have system errors that can not check the tickets. Reply to this
