Can anyone give me some more information on the ESTA visa waiver

I have a return flight into New York next week for 80 days, travelling under the visa waiver programme. I am going to stay with my boyfriend , however a friend has now told me i may run into some problems at immigration as i will only have 2000$ and cannot prove i have a job to come back to! i was told i would be fine as i have someone in the US who will be able to tell them i will be staying with them and they will provide my living expenses. Can anyone help..i'm getting worried now!! Reply to this

You shouldn't have any issues. As long as you have proof of a way out of the country like a return ticket then there won't be any issues. Have you done the online application for it already? Reply to this

Well then, you shouldn't have an issue. They will ask when you are planning to leave, just tell them the date. They probably won't even want to see the return ticket. As long as your passport is valid i foresee no issues. Reply to this

Yeah no worries, i did the same too when i first visited the USA. It was more of a shock on how easy it was. I have done it two times since and still get nervous, don't stress too much. Reply to this
