I am looking for cheapest way to get to Beijing from North America

Hello fellow travellers, thank you for taking interest in helping out another soul confronted with so many otption of travel. Of course I, like most everybody am looking for information on the cheapest possible way to get from Montreal, quebec to Beijing China. I amhoping that some seasoned traveller who has been there more than once can help save me the trouble of looking through every trip advisor and flight finder on the internet! I live in Montreal and am open to getting almost anywhere in North America as a departure destination to Beijing if it can save me a bundle. I also did a little research in air courier travel but have never used it before. I read that there are frequent trips to china via air courier. I have found a $636.00 flight from Vancouver to Beijing on CheapOair.com for a planned trip in October. I usually travel from Spokane, WA to San Francisco, but last trip met a guy saying that flights from Vancouver, BC were cheaper. Good luck.

my airfare was through a chinese travel agency and was 1300USD total from Raleigh, NC to Detroit, Michigan to Shanghai. Which is pretty cheap to me so maybe try a Chinese travel agency?
