After 3 days in Delhi we are planning to train it down to Chennai - aren't we mad cos it is 34 hours travel!!!- and then down to Puducherry and Madurai. We then would like to end up in Kochi before heading north to Goa and Mumbai. Which way is best....all the way to the southern tip or across? Any advice? Reply to this

we took a bus actually. it was organised by the volunteer company so i don't know much about it but it took about 7 hours. I'm in madurai until 6th feb, i got here last week, and i'm doing a placement. yeah sure we could meet tho i don't know that many places in town yet. let me know what you're up to. Reply to this

I don't think we will be there before the 6th as we are trying not to rush the journey down from Delhi, arrival on Fri am and leaving probably on 25th. First stop is in Chennai then Puducherry and then Madurai. But everywhere seems to be so far away with hours on the trains or buses. It is very interesting that you are doing volunteering....what sort and how have you been coping so far? Will be going back home after that or travelling around for a while? Reply to this

In my point of view, You should hire online bus that will make your travel more easy. So I know that once I went Madurai from Delhi, That is not so easy but My friends told me about hire online bus <snip>,
Which is made more easily to your entire travel.
