Hi All

Just need some advice on visas please, I have been looking on the relevant countries websites but they are too confusing and frazzling my brain!

Our travel plan (so far) is:

Malaysian Peninsula - Malaysian Borneo - Malaysia P - Thailand - Cambodia - Thailand - Malaysia - Australia - Malaysia - Thailand - China - Vietnam - Laos

What I need to know is, are we ok to keep entering countries as many time as we want?

We are also planning on going to Brunei and the Philippines, am just a bit worried about our entering Malaysia and Thailand quiet a few times!

Thanks in advance.

As long as you don't over stay your stamp, it should never be a problem.

For Cambodia and Laos, you can have visa on arrival. Don't forget you ESTA visa online for Australia. And for China, it's very easy to apply in Bangkok.

Have a great trip.

Hi Peter

Thank you for replying so quickly! You have put my mind at rest now, one less thing to worry about 😊

We have sorted out an online visa for Australia, was really quick so was very impressed with that and I was thinking of getting the China visa in Thailand or somewhere so if thats easy as well then thats great, all seems to be coming together nicely!

If you are British you don't need a visa for Malaysia. And if you have a forward ticket from Thailand you get a 30 day visa on arrival stamp if you enter by air, and a 15 day stamp if you enter by land. Each time you reenter you get a new stamp.

There is no visa on arrival for Vietnam, you need to apply for one at an embassy before you go. Most travel agents on the typical travellers routes can get one for you.

Have a good trip!

Hi Kate

Thanks for the info......so when we go to Malaysia we wont be given a visa at all, do you know how long would we be allowed to stay for?

Will make sure we get a visa for Vietnam in advance when we go, thank you for the info, its so much easier to ask on here rather than trawling through all the embassy pages!
