Im from Florida and I am ready to be done with heat and humidity for a while! LOL. Anyways- the coldest place I could think to go was Alaska- so I started looking it up and looking at websites- looks really awesome! Does anyone here have any experiance, adventure or advice they want to share about Alaska with me? I would LOVE to hear from you!

Reply to this Hi
I love Alaska (i also really lucked out with the weather- hardly rained), it seems that the most commen way to travel there is with a RV, there are lots of campsites and parking for RVs. from Anchorage i would go to Denali National Park (make reservations) where you can stay 3-4 days. Fairbanks and Valdez are also nice for a day, there are small campsites all around the main roads with amazing scenery and lots of wildlife, for more ideas about what to do in the area try http://www.tripcart.com/usa-regions/Alaska-RR-Kenai.aspx# it has a guide with nice ideas for the area
have a great time
Reply to this Cruising Alaska is a fantastic experience, during summer, of course. It is so beautiful and peaceful. Lots of wildlife and going from port to port lets you experience a larger portion of the state, especially if you throw in a tour.

Reply to this Hey! I don't know if you already got all of the information that you were looking for, but I'm a college student in Alaska (who is currently in North Carolina). I love Alaska. The weather can change quickly so always take layers usually a t-shirt, long-sleeved shirt, medium heavy jacket, and some waterproof shoes. The people are really nice and it's a beautiful place to go. But if you're not a fan of -40 degree weather then I'd stay clear of Fairbanks. 😊
