Couple of questions

I'm considering seeing Indonesia when I'll be in south east asia, but I'm just curious about a couple of things. Firstly I've heard that when arriving in Indonesia it's best to have some proof of a departure date. I wanted to go from Cebu to Bali, but then continue to Jakarta and up Sumatra eventually going to Singapore by boat. Is it best to get a two way ticket regardless of whether I use it just t avoid some hassles? And what is a good method of transportation within Indonesia? Are roads in good conditions and are trains reliable? Also should I be wary of using credit cards in most places here? Any personal experiences about travel here welcome. Reply to this
