need recommendations at the the area to stay in Hanoi,, we will be there for a few days, as we want to take a trip to Ha Long bay, and also fly to Angar Wat. we are staying at Rex while in Saigon and we want accomadations that are similiar...also any recommendations as to guides, restaurants, and what sights to see will be appreciated... My wife and I are 60, we elove beautiful sights and great food,
Reply to this when you come back Saigon, you can visit cu chi tunnel, take a tour 1 or 2 day in mekong..if you have more free time , you should go to dalat, or nha trang.

Reply to this I suggest you check out the Sofitel Metropole Hotel in Hanoi. This old French building is not located in the Old Quarter so you can avoid this crowded and noisy area. It's also easy to walk around to some sites near the hotel, for example, Hanoi Opera House and Hoan Kiem lake. As for the food, don't miss "Cha Ca La Vong" at 14 Cha Ca street (fish and noodles).

I know thw hotel near Hoan Kiem lake in Ha Noi, it take 5minutes by walk. Youth Hotel,.
Ha Long Bay tour 2days or 3 days. overnight at ASIA Cruise and 1 night at Monkey Island resort.
