myself and my partner are planning a trip to thailand on 26th july for 10 days. we are hoping to spend a couple of days in koh samui before koh tao then koh phangan. can anyone reccomend which islands are worth more of our time? we definately want to do our PADI on koh tao.

are we best to book accomodation before hand or book it when we get there being peak season?

can anyone give us an opinion on their stay at koh tao cabana (koh tao)? or tropicana resort (koh tao), does tropicna have hotwater?

I go to Thailand often. I usually book before I go because I don't want the hassle of going from hotel to hotel asking about rates, etc. I use Asiarooms.com for hotel reservations because they almost always have the cheapest rates. Reply to this

No idea, my friend enjoyed the performance of ladyboys there.

I'm heading to Koh Tao in December. a friend of mine who lives in Korea and goes there often says not to bother with reservations or bookings. mentioned it was just as much hassle and you can often get a better rate if you just show up and negotiate. Reply to this
