You should visit some Places of interest as:Ben Thanh Market,Jade Pagoda,Notre Dame Cathedral,Saigon Post Office,War Remnants Museum,Reunification Palace (Former Presidential Palace)Rue Catinat (Dong Khoi Street), Cho Lon District (Chinatown),The Tunnels of Cu Chi,
Dai Nam Quoc Tu Pagoda in Binh Duong near Ho Chi Minh city. These are the places tourists visit is often interesting that I know
You can book a room at the hotel is rated good and affordable for you such as the : Lavender hotel, Que Huong hotel, Lan Lan 2 Hotel, May hotel (you can book on internet)
In the evening you can walk the streets drinking Cofee, If you like listening to music or Sax
Art Sax on Le Loi, Tran Manh Tuan has blown Saxophone or floating wow, good cocktails and reasonable prices.
Cafe: if you like the music or to a live acoustic band, of course, is just enjoy the music ko but only to speak to the heart. Still prefer the quiet space recommend Sonata (Dang Dung) or Pegola
If you buy souvenirs see art paintings various places in the street you have to visit a district. If you need help contact me. Have nice trip!

My advise is:
Stay at Hoang Lien Hotel ( approx US$ 25/night, the room is quite nice) then

First day: take a full-day city tour: Presidential Palace, Notre Dame Cathedral, Saigon Post Office, War Museum, History Museum, China Town, Thien Hau Temple, Ngoc Hoang Pagoda then shopping in Ben Thanh Market or Tax Trading Center ( Thuong Xa Rax) - Tax is just the name of this trading center or Saigon Square Center.

2nd day: take a Mekong Delta tour ( My Tho or Vinh Long - Cai Be floating Market): boat trip along the mighty Mrking River and see daily lives of people who work and play on the waterways of the Mekong Delta, see the unique floating market, you can join bartering with them also! then visit a family - runbusiness producing rice paper, then enjoy bee - tea, tropical fruit and traditional Vietnamese music in a orchard on an islet.

I love to see the way the lady producing the rice paper, I did ask her to let me make one rice paper, she was willing to show me how to do, but actually i could not make a beautiful rice paper like her :P

3rd day: Visit Cu Chi Tunnels ( the extremely unique underground world of Viet Cong in the wars) and Cao Dai Temple which is located in Tay Ninh province. I will not tell you more because you have to enjoy these place by your feeling,

4th day: Attend a cooking class for foreigners, where you will learn how to cook and prepare tradional Vietnamese dishes then you will enjoy your fresh cooked meals. in the afternoon, buy a water puppet ticket to enjoy a water puppet show ( a kind of Vietnamese unique art)

5th: Get up at 6.00 Am to join a Taichi exercise in the park then come to Ben Thanh market to see how the sellers there prepare for a business day in an early morning. Then take a Vietnamese coffee cup ( cafe phin) and eat Pho as your breakfast. Then come back to Your hotel, take a bath and get a spa or massage and take a deep sleep before a flight home.

Hope you like our doable advises!
