| bringing american ciggerettes back into Canada after short time away from Canada | |||||||||||||||
hiney1959 mary Post Count: 1 Msg: #1 12 weeks ago, September 26th 2009 | Hello All! | I am an American but moved to Canada many years ago when I married a Canadian. I want to start smoking the ciggerettes from the states instead of Canadian cigs. My questions are Where is the cheapest place to buy american ciggerettes in the Port Huron Michigan area and, how much can I expect to pay at the border upon return to Canada. I have done this many years ago and it was not worth my time. But now I have to go over to Port Huron anyway on a biweekly basis, and want to resume purchasing the smokes of my youth... The cheapest place I have found them is Sams so far. Please help if you can TY, Hiney Dymphna Lee Ann Post Count: 464 Msg: #2 12 weeks ago, September 29th 2009 | Typically there is a certain amount that is duty free. You can call the boarder and find out what the limits are. They will also tell you how much for going over that. I remember we called them to find out how much beer we could take over the boarder when I was in college. | Number of Users: 2 | Number of Posts: 2 | ||||||||||
