I've heard that certain types of headache tablets for example are illegal in some Asian countries because of one of their ingredients but I can't find detailed information on any of the Aussie or Malaysian government websites I've read. They have Boots the Chemist in Thailand for example. So you don't need to take a huge amount of medicine with you.
