| How safe is it to sleep in your car some nights when travelling through Central America? | |||||||||||||||||||||

We know Central America isn't the safest of places but we were wondering if it was safe enough to sleep in your car if you were in a safer area. Has anyone had experience with this or have any thoughts on the subject? I think that would be safer than parking just anywhere. I heard C. America has become safer since I was there 10 years ago, but I would still be careful in countries where there is a lot of poverty.
