Avoiding Kuala Lumpur

I'm looking at a flight that lands in KL at about 20:30, and i want to head north towards Thailand - but there's no travel options i can find that leave late at night (eg midnight) and I don't really want to stay a night in KL. Any ideas?

Air asia flight from london lands in the evening, all budget flights out to krabi/Phuket leave in the morning. The sleeper train leaves at 8pm. I cant seem to find a lot of info on coaches.
The London to KL Air Asia flight is cheap, but it'll involve a night stay in KL, which is one of the most boring dull cities you can visit... i know, i've been there!

You could meet up with Ali and that might make it more fun. 😊 Reply to this

Yeah - you're kinda stuck there - the coaches (to best of my knowledge) leave around 9pm as well.

What date do you arrive? - I'm more than happy to meet up.

(Away during much of August though!)

If not - I should be in Thailand during August as well.

I land on the saturday before xmas, so a while away... I could bring you some xmas pressies from home!
Sounds good, maybe you can show me how great KL is, and change my perception of it.

Funny how most places round the world involve you getting up early for transport, but not here. Especially being a muslim country, i would have thought everyone would have been up for early morning prayers.
