Hi,
I'm due to arrive in Hong Kong on the 29th July, I will stay here for approx 2 days when I'm hen due to travel up o Shenzhen.
I have done some research into the best possible way to reach my final destination, most of the recommendations state the best route to take is the yellow shutle bus to HuangGang and from here a taxi to the city centre of Shenzhen
Any help surrounding this route would be most appreciated: I.E: were does this bus leave from in Hong Kong / price of the bus / how long does it take to get through passport control.
Many Thanks
Jay

I travel regularly between HK and Shenzhen, in my opinion the best way is to take the KCR (railway) to the border. You then walk across the bridge over the river. When you clear the China side immigration and customs take the steps or escalator down and follow signs for taxis, alternatively walk to the Shangri-la hotel (it´s basically straight ahead a few hundred metres) and get a taxi there. Have the address you want to go to in written Chinese, the taxi drivers don´t speak much English.
Reply to this Hi, Jay, Hong Kong to Shenzhen/Huanggang
Departure place in Hong Kong:
a) Metropark Hotel Causeway Bay H.K.
b) Wanchai CTS Office
c) CTS Head Office in Sheung Wan
d) CTS Prince Edward Office (not stop-over in every bus)
One-way bus fare @RMB60 net/per ticket (non-refundable)
From Hong Kong to Shenzhen/Huanggang is spend around 50 minutes if traffic is smooth.
Hope it is useful for you.
Kind regards,
Truth
Reply to this Hi.
The best way is to take KCR, fast and convenient. Take in Mon Kok. And you get to downtown Shenzhen in an hour!!
Cost like 50-75 HKD.
Then take taxi to your hotel. Be write down the hotel name in Chinese, so taxi driver can reach the right place.
