If some travelers could give me examples of their overall average daily budget after traveling in s.e. asia. If you could let me know how long you stayed, where you visited and what the average budget worked out to be that would be helpful. If you could also add some idea as to the level of accomodations. You are asking a question that has so many variables. Which countries are you traveling in? Southeast Asia has many countries and each one has its own regions that cater to different costs. If you are traveling with a backpack, then you might also consider looking at www.backpackers.com and get some useful information from other travelers. I've been living in Thailand for some time now and you can get a decent and clean bungalow (not really called a "hut") near the Andaman Sea coastline for about 600 baht ($15USD) during this time of year. Things shoot up to over 1,500 baht ($37) during peak high season November thru April. You may get more advice if you reply to this reponse with some info on your travel destinations, method of travel and maybe your budget, too. You do have a budget, right? 😊
