I need to travel as directly as possibly and as quickly as possible by bus from Kunming to Laos. Is anyone aware of a direct bus service from Kunming to Laos?
Alternatively are Visa extensions possible for Australian passport holders.
Reply to this Didn't take the bus but am very sure of buses from Luang Prabhang to Kunming so there must be one the other way round. We crossed many on the way into China. If it's Luang Namtha you want to head to you just need to hop off the bus once in Laos at a junction 20 km after the border. Think the place is called Namtavan. From here the road splits a right to Luang Namtha (35-7km) and the left to Oudomxi and further to Luang Prabhang. You can easily get a passing bus to Luang Namtha from here.
