Need budget accomodation of a night near the international airport in Kul

Any reccomendations? I have to spend one night really close to the airport (I am arriving late and leaving early in the morning). Do you know if there is any budget accomodation near the airport? I just know there is an hotel inside but the other solutions seems pretty expensive. Reply to this

Have you thought of "camping" in the aiport. I haven't done this for years...but I've "camped" in maybe 10 airports...KL one is safe and clean...and I'm pretty sure it stay open all night long. Be careful though where you arrive...if it is KLCC, the low cost terminal, it may be another story. Reply to this

KUL is in the middle of nowhere...how many are in your group? Petaling Jaya is not that far away...if it's a sizeable group..organizing a van could get you where you want... Reply to this

Try out air asia's tune hotel just across LCCT, or Concorde Inn between LCCT and KLIA. Pan Pacific is joint with KLIA but definately not a budget hotel.

Both KLIA - Kuala Lumpur International Airport and LCCT - Low Cost Carrier Terminal share the same runway for landing and take off, so they are not far apart, about 10min driving. The limo probably take 2min, they fly.

Ok...just in KL...haven't gone in it, but you may try tune hotel...from the outside look very basic...so ready to red more about it. But it does look efficient. Reply to this

Try to search for Hotels in Nilai .. As i know Nilai is the nearest place to KLIA.
From KLIA to KL is around 1 hour. going back from KL to KLIA in the morning, might take more time espiecally if the Fedral Highway got Traffic Jam as always. Not sure if they have opned new highways.

Good luck. Reply to this

Try Concorde Inn, there's shuttle buses between KLIA and the inn provided every half an hour.
I stayed there once and i'm quite satisfied with the hotel.

I eventually stayed at Tune HOtel which is definitely a great choice!
Rooms are small but brand new! Reply to this

One question...how clean was the place? And how noisy were the room....think they could change a lot of things in the hotel world in Asia the same way Air Asia did. Reply to this

I stayed there with 15 people (we were travelling together) the hotel was brand new and every single room was absolutely cleaned perfectly.
The only thing you have to be prepared is the room dimension....with the luggage we could hardly move inside but for the price paid is was one of the best deal I have ever done (especially for an airport hotel) Reply to this

If Tune is full which it usually is due to Air Asia's nice little habit of delayed flights missing connecting flights and their staff telling you to "sort it out in Malaysia" to find when you arrive in Malaysia that Air Asia office is closed (GRRR!) and you're just looking for somewhere to lay your head between flights try Transit Budget Hotel - 03 8706 4088 - Tiny and shared bathroom facilities but cheap cheap and clean enough and Allan Goh the proprieter is very helpful. They will pick you up and deliver you to LCCT included in room price - all up 60rm. Tune hotels are owned and operated by air asia.

As far as camping out at the Airport goes, dont try this if you are 6'4 and covered in tattoos. You get woken up by the police, customs and curious tourists who want to take your photograph. Police woke up my partner to tell him he was 'too big' to sleep on the floor and took up too much room. Reply to this
