Electric News - gave TravelBlog a nice review and site of the week from October the 8th.

The review - just a short one. Reply to this

Seth Godin - author of "Purple Cow: Transform Your Business by Being Remarkable" a New York Times best seller.

Seth - just blogged travelblog.org - with "The Next Blog Thing" - must have been about 10mins ago - this is a responsive site! I gotta get the GIS stuff finished (after the gallery!) - it will blow the current features into touch 😊

Ok - so it was just a heads up - but nice to be noticed.

A brief mention in the Oct/Dec 2006 edition (p.34) of National Geographic Traveler, though the article is actually in praise of paper journals (without apparently realising that's how most bloggers actually record their raw material ...) Reply to this

Also a brief mention in the November 2006 issue of Wanderlist (p.105), in a list of "Best of the blogs" travel blog sites ("Increasingly popular site. Attractive layout, easy to use"). Reply to this

Featured in The Times' Top 100 Travel Sites - "Brilliant site hosting blogs for travellers free of charge. Use it to create your own site and post pictures as well as text. Every country is covered through interactive maps. Also try www.travelpod.com, which calls itself the original travel blog website, and is a well-presented alternative." Reply to this

Ali,

Have their been any recent awards that could be added to this page?

At the bottom of the front page it list advertising and if you click on it it takes you to a page where you can read press and awards.

I wish there were a way that could be more prominent. Possibly on the front page.
