Is there one that covers more than one country in South America? Or better still, is there one that covers all S. American countries in one book?
LP - ´South America on a shoestring´ - Its like the bible here to backpackers. everyone seems to have the same one. Should be easy to pick up second hand there is so many out there. It´s 2007 but i hear there is a new one out. We find it handy for maps and sights but it has a lot more.

Does anyone know when the new one comes out? I will next be in S. America in December, so if the new one is due to come out before then, I will wait for it.
Reply to this The LP South America on a Shoestring is definitely my bible at the minute. Whilst some of the costs etc are out of date most of the information has proven good so far. It is a fat book and heavy to carry round but I wouldn't be without it at the minute..... especially as our travel plans are changing and we are heading for places we hadn't considered before starting this trip....

That would be nice. But, I suppose the parts of the books I find important dont change much from edition to edition anyway.
Reply to this Mine is a March 2007 edition and as far as I am aware this is the most up to date one..... Its got a red cover!
Reply to this Yeah, the next one comes out in March 2010. I checked on the internet. So I might as well buy the one that came out in March 2007 10th edition today then.
