triple B Ben Bickley Post Count: 3 Msg: #1 236 days ago, April 1st 2009 | Howdy, Im coming to nepal to trek for 6 weeks from Australia. Am finding it a little hard to get Nepalise rupees in Australia to pay for guides and treking permits ect when I arrive. Are the ATMS reliable in Nepal? Any advise would be great. Cheers all. | Jo Trouble Jo McCarthy Post Count: 2977 Msg: #2 236 days ago, April 1st 2009 | Hi Ben, | Welcome to TravelBlog. Some trekking companies accept $US - could be an option. You shouldn't experience any issues. There are also a huge number of currency exchange booths which will be happy to exchange dollars for you! Enjoy your trekking. triple B Ben Bickley Post Count: 3 Msg: #4 235 days ago, April 2nd 2009 | Awsome thanks for the advise. Most of the hotel and travel company also accept VISA/Master card payment but they take little commission which may be worthy for you. | Anyway do not worry everything is quite easy in Nepal for currency issues.
