Can I take a bus or mini bus from Sempona at 2pm and arrive in Sepilok that evening?

I'm planning to dive in Sipidan and then take a bus over to Sepilok to spend some time in the jungle with Uncle Tan's.
I will get back to Semporna around 2pm and am hoping to make it to Sepilok by that evening. Will that be enough time? Will it be possible to take a bus or mini bus to Lahad Datu and then transfer to another bus there headed for Sepilok (Sandakan)? Can you recommend a travel company for the mini bus?
I'm really struggling finding information on this, so anything you can give me would be great!!!

Reply to this Hope it's not too late to reply. I just did that trip (last week) but from Sepilok to Sempona to Kapalai/Sipidan. The bus trip took 5 hours. So, if you start out at 2pm you won't get to Sepilok till after 7pm which is very late and dangerous - I won't do it and I'm from Sabah orginally. (Remember you are 6 deg north of the equator so sunrise and sunset at 6pm all year round!) If you stay at Kapalia (you cannot stay in Sipidan), there are two boats leaving at 10:30am and 1:30pm. If you take the 10:30am, you should get to Sempona by 11 or 11:15 (30 min on high tide and 45 on low tide.) then it will be more realistic and safer to get to Sepilok.
As for bus, you need to make arrangement with Kapalia resort so it's coordinated with the boat ride.

Normal case u can take public mini bus or express bus but going to catch bus to semporna jetty for a boat ride..U can arrange for charted tour van for safe trip..ya it might cost extra..
