Shopping Hong Kong VS Shenzhen
We will be visiting both cities and want to know where to do the bulk of our shopping.

We will be in Hong Kong for 4 nights and Shenzhen ( China ) for 3 nights . Where would you spend time sight seeing and where would you spend shopping?

Hi Dusko,
Really depends what you are looking for! HK is great for electonic & international brands (much cheaper than Shenzhen) and Shenzhen area having lots of factories, does have great markets where you find real bargain (even more true for Guangzhou actually..)

I'd buy my camera and laptop in HK, all others in Shenzhen. But be sure to haggle. In Shenzhen, you'd be almost embarassed to haggle at 20% of the quoted price, sometimes even lower. My advice: don't (be embarassed). Happy shopping! Reply to this

Check your HK prices using comparison site shopcite.com at least you will have reference prices to reduce time and physical effort Reply to this
