Arriving late in Veracruz (city) need a hotel recommendation for 1 night.
I'll be arriving in Veracruz on a late flight from Houston. By the time I get my bag and a taxi it could be midnight. I have never been to the city and don't know where to stay. I don't need a four star (or even a three star) hotel. I'll be heading out on a bus the next morning for Xalapa, so I don't want to be too far from the bus station. No pool necessary.

Reply to this I just googled Veracruz, Hostels, and found a few small/cheap places. That would be my reccomendation. I'm hoping to plan a trip down to Veracruz as well, so let me know how it goes!
Reply to this Well, I've already been there and back! I was in Veracruz (state) for 9 days, and flew in and out of Veracruz (city).

I really didn't care for my first hotel, which was not too expensive (I'll post names and prices when I get my travel notes typed up). And my last hotel (also in Veracruz), was nice enough, but in the middle of nowhere!
