Guatemala Beaches?
Are there any nice beaches off the western coast of Guatemala or Belize?

I am travelling to Guatemala, flying into Guate City. I want to possibly make a trip to Belize to check out some of the beaches, but don't want to travel all the way north. I was thinking of going to Puerto Barrios to catch a boat to Punta Gorda, Belize..then boating to a nearby Caye. However this is seeming expensive. Is there a Caye near the Guate border that is nice and has camping possibly? Can anyone suggest a nice spot to camp or set up a hammock on a beach? Even if it is southern Belize....
