Hi, has anyone got any suggestions of good hotels, guesthouses in Phnom Penh. Budget is about $40-$60 per night (happy to pay less!!). Any suggestions appreciated. Reply to this

Just had to find some info for friends...Sunway, nice 4 stars...little more than your budget, but at 67usd a night, it was a bargain! Reply to this

Just head for the lake. There's loads of hotels and most of them would be well under your budget. Reply to this

Hi, you can try Frangipani Villa that can be viewed at www.frangipanihotel.com. I used to stay there and found it nice and moreover it can be viewed at http://www.tripadvisor.com/. Gramhamrith Reply to this

We stayed at top bannana and really ejjoyed it. It had a nice chill out area with hammoks and a restaurant. it was in a nice part of town close to cheap eateries. the rooms were clean and the price was good! Reply to this

$40-$60 - my word, such expense makes my eyes water. The whole time I was in Cambodia I never spent more than $6 for a room which leads me to believe that my standard of living is more slummier than yours. Disclaimer done, I concur with what the other guys are saying about the lakeside area. I stayed in the Lazy Fish guesthouse...the staff were lovely, the bar/restaurant is open all night long and it is just generally chilled. Reply to this
