Reply to this October is the high season with a sharp increase in number of visitors. At this time of year the weather is the sunniest and mildest. The midyear summer tends to get rainy (and leechy...), and in wintertime it gets quite cold. Clouds often obscure the mountains all year around, but September-October is your best bet for those postcard blue skies. The annual religious festival in the capital also takes place around this time.
