Archaeologists working in Guatemala say they have discovered one of the most spectacular pieces of artwork created by the ancient Mayan people.
They say they have found a mural depicting the Mayan creation myth and the coronation of a king, thought to be more than 2,000 years old.

After seeing places like Tikal and Palenque, and then some of the temples in the jungle that were still covered by trees, it made me wonder what else was hidden away in some of the remote spots. Looks like archaeologists have found something very special.
2000 years old, most of the temples in Tikal were from around 1100-1300AD - so this is something much older.
