We are an active senior couple who have travelled before in Asia (China,Thailand,Vietnam,Cambodia) and are to spend 2 1/2 days in Taipei in August. What are the "must see" and "must do" things, as the guide books list too much to do in this short time. Also, what district is best for a tourist, assuming a mid-priced hotel. Any information to help us in our visit would be greatly appreciated.
Reply to this The Grand Hotel, is spectacular for its ethnic architecture. The food in Taipei is Fabulous. And they are very proud of the new super skyscraper/mega mall but I have not been there yet so I really can't say much about it. It might be good just for some photo ops from the upper floors/observation deck.
