We spent yesterday travelling to Ciudad Bolivar and are now staying at Posada La Casita...the first really really nice place weve stayed at...were sleeping in bunk'beds in a little hut (decided against hammocks) since getting a proper room is 80000 bolivares versus 18000 for a bunk bed..

the place has a pool table, a pool and everything...we played a few racks of pool last night, and then got told that a trip to see the orinocco delta and angel falls would cost 980000 bolivars...stunned....thats about 500 dollars the official exchange rate, wayyyy out of our budget..

so now were in ciudad bolivar trying to find some tour agency that will do us a trip to angel falls, the highest waterfall in the world which is over a kilometre in length, for really cheap...its a long shot, but after coming all this way we both really want to see it..
