This morning we woke up, and guess what? I was COLD! I don´t think it´s the temperature, really, but perhaps the environment. It´s gray, and dull, and humid. I have never been to Lima any other time of year, but I think this is just what winter is like here. There was no hot water this morning, so getting ready for the day was no fun! We were rushed, and had little time for breakfast (only one piece of bread!) and 2 sips of coffee.

We had to get up somewhat early as today Memo was baptizing his daughters, Ana Paula (she´ll be 3 on Sept. 28) and Ana Lucia (she turned 1 in March.) William was going to be Lucia´s godfather and since the godmother was unable to come to Lima, I stood in for her. The ceremony took place in the chapel of the school where Memo teaches. It was intimate and simple. Later, we all went to Rosa and Oscar´s house where we had lunch, and danced the afternoon away. Here are some photos of our day:

Tia Elena adores Anthony! Can you tell?

At the end of the day, we took Elena to the bus station and she headed back home. We will be there next week!

In the evening, William went with Jonathon, Giussepe, Anthony, and Amanda to McDonald´s and brought Happy Meals for Alex and me!

We have a 2 yr. old, Alex, an 11 yr. old, Amanda, and our son, Anthony, will turn 14 during our trip. We usually only visit family, but this time we're going to try to explore a little!... full info
