I have spent the last couple days in Las Laderas coaching as many children as possible in my final days here.

I was helped by some of the mothers with only small bits of translation as now my spanish is a lot better. They also helped take the pictures.

It was a fantastic experience as i arrived yesterday for the first session, as all the children who had been with me before knew i was coming and ran to the taxi as i turned up. They grabbed the bag of footballs and marched me up the hill so that we could start. It was a bit hectic as Las Laderas holds 8000 children, everyone who came by wanted to join in. I did the same session with roughly 25 different children per hour. 'The Don' of Las Laderas, Rosa, (in one of the pictures) was fantastic at organising all the children for me and couldnt have been more grateful. In between sessions i bought them all cold water and sweets so that we could chill for a moment in the overly hot sun.

Again another thanks to Surrey Sports Park for all this equipment, also the FA for the bibs and england badges i was able to hand out. After each session it was lovely to be able to hand out these and watch the children walk away proud.

I have attached a few pictures of the day yesterday, today was just the same, yet i got back to the refuge and crashed out straight away on the pateo.

Project Peru have also purchased some land just down the road from the current refuge that is going to be used as a new building for the older teenage boys. Nothing has been built yet but we started to clear the land, it was great fun and attached a few photos of this also. It was surreal that EVERYBODY helped, including 3 year old Tatiana and 4 year old Santiago.

For tomorrow i will spend the day in the refuge with all the children, i have bought loads of fireworks, food, sweets and drink and invited all the staff to join in the evening, will be plenty of fun!
