Another traveler, Ed, and i hired a taxi to drive us 8 hours over a bad dirt road to get to this town of ayacucho. the place is supposed to include an artists enclave where textiles are created...see attached photos. also, i decided to try Cuy, which is guinea pig. it was actually pretty good, although there wasn´t very much meat on the little guy....see attached photos.

this weaving in an artists gallery had a strong appeal. the two parts of fringe were actually woven into the plane of the textile. i wanted it but was concerned that it would take up alot of space in my backpack with half of the trip to go
