Well, Mandy finally arrived at 13 minutes past midnight today. She was seven pounds and 19 inches (we had to get to our computers to do the conversions - they use the metric systems here).

We were blessed to be the first ones to hold her, other than Chanel and Braulio. She is a perfect little angel and is now our twelfth grandchild (we all had decided to drop the 'adopted' title).

We went with Braulio on Thursday to bring Chanel and Mandy home from the hospital and Braulio fixed lunch for us. Then his parents came over and we met them for the first time. It was a little difficult, since they speak no English, but when they left we were told that we would be welcome in their home anytime.

Grandparents here are called Abuelo and Abuela, but we are sticking to Poppa and Mema.
