When we arrived in Santiago we set about our usual walking tour of the city. Much to Lorna's delight we found a Peruvian shop which sold Inca Cola! We walked to the main square where they had already put up their Christmas tree, it felt strange to see it in the heat, Christmas should be cold!

Santiago has it's very own mini 'Christ the Redeemer' statue which we set out to climb up to. Somewhere along the way we took a wrong turn and ended up climbing a different lookout point, Santa Lucia. From here we could see the city sprawled beneath us, and the statue on the adjacent hill!

We took the opportunity to have a fairly chilled time in Santiago, sampling a few Chilean red wines in the evenings.
