It's raining! Alot! But nothing is dampening our spirits after a successful arrival in Santiago...

54 hours earlier...

Charles de Gaulle airport have us held captive. This labyrinth of an airport will not surrender anything other than cheese and jambon sandwiches... this is not bon. We have 12 hours here before we are released and can staunch the bleeding from our pockets ... I pray it goes quickly.

42 hours earlier...

*Cue great escape music* We made it! We have eagerly boarded the A380 airbus ready for the 14-hour flight ahead. Sleep & anything other than cheese & ham sandwiches await.

28 hours earlier...

Touch down! A torturous sleep and episodes of Friends saw us through, and now excitement and anticipation overwhelm us. We realise how little we actually know about the country we have landed in. Chile awaits and we are more gringo than ever... but we like to think of the stares as friendly.

Present day...

A successful border crossing, a legitimate taxi, and an existing hostel ... winning. Our hostel is friendly and already the gringos are making friends. One realisation... we packed too many shorts. It´s cold and drizzly, but that is forecast to change and we´re excited to start exploring. Vamos!
