Na dnes sme si pozicali bicykle a rozhodli sa navstivit blizke Valle de la Luna /udolie mesiaca/. Udolie vyzeralo presne podla nazvu ako mesacna krajina. Nikde nic, ani najmensia bylinka, dokonca ani kaktusy nieto nieco zive. Vsade same piesocne duny, zerodovane skaly a strasne teplo. V udoli sme tiez navstivili byvale solne bane, tato sol vsak nebola krasne biela ako v Uyuni, skor to vyzeralo ako spinavy lad. Vsade naokolo to pukalo a zem pod nami bola len taka krusta a v nej diery. Tiez sme videli Tres Marias /tri Marie/ tri obri zerodovane kamenne utvary, ktore ani s obrovskou davkou fantazie nevyzerali ako Marie. Cesta naspat bola namahava, sice konecne po asfalte, ale stale do kopca a proti teplemu vetru. Vyhlad na San Pedro vsak stal za to. San Pedro sa nam obom paci, je to taka mala oaza, plna peknych domcekov a cistych uliciek. Stanik si vecer kupil kura, nechal si ho na stole lebo som s niecim potrebovala pomoct v stane a medzitym mu ho objavil a zjedol zli pes. Bol to nemecky vlciak tak ho nechal tak nech to kura doje, velmi sa hneval a nakoniec si isiel kupit nove, ale neskor sme sa na tom smiali.

For today we rented bikes and planned to visit nearby Valle de la Luna /valley of the moon/. The valley looked exactly like its name says - as a moon land. There was nothing there, not the tiniest green plant, not even a cacti, so of course nothing alive either. There were just sand dunes, eroded rocks and very, very hot. In the valley we visited ex salt mines, but salt in them wasnt nicely white as in Uyuni, it looked much more just like dirty ice. Everywhere around we could hear cracks and strange noises and the ground under us was just crust with holes in it. We also saw Tres Marias /three Marias/3 huge stone eroded boulders, which didnt look like Marias at all, doesnt matter how much fantasy you have. The way back was a hard work, we were finally biking on a paved road, but it was proper uphill slog against a hot wind. But in the end the view over San Pedro worth it. We both like San Pedro a lot, it is a little oasis, full of nice little houses and clean streets. In the evening Stan bought some grilled chicken and left if on a table because I needed a help with somethnig in our tent. Meanwhile a nasty dog found out the chicken and started to eat it. It was a german shepherd so he just let him to finish his dinner, but he was very crossed about that and went to buy a new one, but later we laughed about that.
