At the farm
This is a pic with one of tete's children-belle an all her friends. This night she took us to a very Brazilian bar Hi everyone
It's a sad day for us. Ali has left for England today. So the 'rio gals' are minus one member. Something I have learnt from my gap year, is that I don't naturally embrace change well, and that's no bad thing as now I can recognise and deal with it. BUT it doesn't stop me being sad that our trip here is coming to an end and that our amazing gal has left. Rach and I are feeling sad, really sad today, but also reflective. Rio has been amazing. We've learnt so much about ourselves and we've also learnt what a good heart Ali has and how wonderful and laid back 'Carlos lago!!!' Is (that's Cadu...) Ill never ever in my life forget how kind and warm and welcoming they were and are to their 'gallllssss!' An experience that will stay with me for the rest of my days 😊 so much love to them both ❤I'll tell you all about the farm now, which was probably one of the main highlights of our entire time here! Cadus sister Tete lives a 45 min flight away from rio in the country on a very beautiful farm and we got
the privilege of being invited to stay with her and all her children and their boyfriends and girlfriends for five days. Most mornings we went for a walk around the farm in the sun, which was beautiful. Tete also has 3 dogs, one of which always always chases the cows and riles them up-it was so funny to see! We also got to eat some of the sugar cane which Tete grows on her farm. She grows loads of things. At breakfast we usually had toast and some cheese and the cheese was the best thing I've ever tasted in my life (obviously after your pear tart Lynn...) Iv NEVER tasted cheese so good in my life. Delicious. She looks after those cows well hahaOn the last night we went to a kind of village party which was awesome!!! We didn't get to know her kids thattt well over the few days we were there cos even though they could speak English they usually spoke in Portuguese, obviously as its their first language. But on the last night we got to know each other much better and had a really fun night. We drank cashasa with honey and ginger. They
were strange drinks but so good! And there was also lots of food, and I had a piece of cake which was omg so delicious and I asked her 'what is this cake, is it lemon? Sponge?' And she goes its got cheese in it. I was like what!? How? It didn't look like a cheese cake or taste like one. I was confused, but proceeded to eat two more pieces haha. Then we danced the night away and had lots of fun 😊 Then we came home and had our leaving party! Ali and Cadu did such a good job! They're so kind to us!!!!! They got one of the really nice sushi places to come and cater and there were waiters and ireney (one of alis maids) and her husband were making the most delicious caipirinhas!! Mmmm!! So yummy!! We invited lots of cadus family, including his mother, Stella. Who by the way is fantastic. Parties more than most 25 year olds. Very kind. Very loud lol. And beautiful. Oh and loves lemon pie, lemon cake, and chocolate haha! Much to cadus disappointment!!We also invited some of our friends who we have met over here. Was a brilliant
evening. Thanks to you both for making it possible. Never ever ever forget, loads of love and kissessss ❤❤❤
