We left Iguassa Thursday afternoon and arrived back in Rio late. Rio has two airports, and this time we came into the domestic airport. It was only when we saw the airport from the top of Sugar loaf mountain that we realised why the plane had breaked so hard on landing - it's a really short landing strip!

We went to Sugar loaf on Friday.

We had late nights Saturday through to Monday, enjoying the Carnival - I'll add those pictures on the next blog.

We went to Corcovado where the Christ the Redeemer statue is on Wednesday.

Thursday was beach day, and Friday was travel home day.

Not the hotel we stayed at I hasten to add. We tried to get a table for diner, but couldn't.
