Hello Everyone! The time after Carnaval has just seemed to fly right by, so fast that we can’t believe we are returning to the states in just 4 days! We had an amazing send off from Recife (more on that in a bit), but currently we are in Southern Brazil near Sao Paulo in a suburb called Alphaville and have been since the beginning of March. I am sorry that I wasn't able to update the blog to include all of the traveling adventures, but after returning to the US, experienced a big life change and needless to say the wherearewenow has changed to whereamInow. Many years ago, the house here were made of wood, being the cheaper material, but heavy rains came and cause mud slides which washed away many of the dwellings and took many lives.

This looks like it was an amazing visit. I am so inspired by the images you took of the squatter settlement and how industrious people can be. I am glad you guys went out and had these adventures. Thank you for sharing them with us. We can't wait to have you back!
