In times past the coffee farms were self-sufficent little villages with school, church etc. This is a cool looking church in a village that has since been abandoned

This is one of the massive meals I have become accustomed to, this particular one is a traditonal Brazilian dish,called Feichoada, and is basically black beans with a whole lot of stuff thrown in!...tastes good though

Me lost in a forest of Eucalyptus trees while the fog is closing in!...they grow tonnes of Eucalyptus here for the paper industry

we went to a bird sanctuary which was like entering a hitchcock film in some parts!....interestingly though, there is a mating enclosure were the birds are put in pairs into small cages, and the owner plays classical music to them all day long over a loudspeaker(he must think it improves productivity!)

Tricky to see but if you look very far into the distance you'll see the outline of some mountains, which are actually the outline of an old volcanic crater that circles the entire city below(30km diameter)...the pic doesn't do it justice

We went to this park in Rio, where back in the 1930's this rich fella had built a really fancy house and gardens, with fancy garden features made of concrete(it does look quite impressive), however is wife wasn't satisfied and ran of to Italy with some Italian fella.....women!, never happy, no matter how hard you try!
