waiting patiently for the pooice car to leave the venue where we were doing illegal activity!
Today we had a free day in Paraty. Elle was sick in bed with tonsilitis for the morning, but felt heaps better in the afternoon. Rach and the others went for a walk into the town in the morning and did a bit of shopping, including another Haviana purchase! In the evening we had a group dinner at the hostel, where it was all you could eat buffet pizza and pasta. You could request what sort of pizza you wanted and they made it fresh for you which was pretty cool.
One of the guys on our tour was having his 25th birthday on the 17th June, so at 3am that morning, Elle, Rach, and 3 others from the tour snuck into the town without him noticing, and took an ENORMOUS banner of a Brazilian girl in a bikini from outside a surf shop, which he had been admiring earlier on that day. We dodged wild dogs, police cars and passersby and it was a success. We carried it back to the hostel and rolled it up like a tent (it was pretty much the same size as one), and stuffed it at the bottom of our truck to store for

the next 2 days. We were all exhausted by the time we got back, but it was worth it!
