Restaurant La Taverne, Sucre, BoliviaMy last night in Sucre, I went to one of the best Frech restaurants in the city with my friend Zeljka (from Canada) and Soo-Jin (the really good friend I made in Sucre, who is from South Korea). It was hard to say goodbye to her as I spent my first month in South America with her (and shared so many good experiences). Anyways, we will see each other later during our South American experiences.
Host Family, Sucre, BoliviaThis was the last supper with my host family, just after I went to the French retaurant with my friend. I felt as I was part of the family. And, as they told me, now I have 8 siblings; my brother in Canada and 4 brothers and 3 sisters in Bolivia.
Local Restaurant, Potosi, BoliviaI tried the famous Potosi soup which is called Kalapurka. It's a soup made of corn, cereals and meat with a volcano rock inside. The experience was very interesting and the soup so delicious.
San Francisco of Potosi Convent, Potosi, BoliviaWe did a tour of the San Francisco of Potosi Convent. It was interesting, especially when they told us that on was of the statues of Jesus, the hair is still growing. There are people that take care of the hair (strange). After the tour, we went on the top and had a beautiful view of the city.
Potosi, BoliviaPotosi is known to be one of the hishest cities in the world, at over 4 000m above sea level.
Road to Uyuni, BoliviaOn our way to Uyuni (from Potosi), we saw some beautiful landscapes. At one point, it looked like we were in the middle of the desert.
Road to Salar de Uyuni, BoliviaOn our way to the Salt Flat, we stop at an abandoned railways. We were told that it was the first railway that was built in Bolivia.
Salt Flat, Salar de Uyuni, BoliviaThis world beauty is amazing. I can tell you that what you see on the pics is actually real! Morover, a lot of people try to do cool picture like this one. However, it is very difficult and it takes a lot of time and practise until you get a good one!
