Whale tale
Zoe´s new camera shows it´s worth Well it´s been a while since we wrote anything but we´re still here. We´ve moved from the end of the world to Puerto Madryn, Leon went scuba diving with sea lions on the day we got here and yesterday we went to Punta Tombo to see thousands and thousands of penguins.
The dive was great and apart from being a little nibbled and knawed by young sea lions there was no damage done. Zoe watched from the boat and enjoyed the spectacle so much she forgot to put sun block on her shoulders!
We hired a car to go to the penguin area, (BUDGET car rental = Will not pass MOT) after sliding down the 45km of gravel track with (AGAIN) much complaining we got there to witness the adult males and females taking it in turns to guard the nest and feed the chicks.
After a smelly trip to a penguin reserve there´s nothing i like more than a Classic Welsh Tea, so it was Gaiman for the faux Welsh ceremony.
Today we went on a whale watching trip, having booked a small tour we were VERY upset to be told we were going on a
How cute!
Mum/dad, chick and soon to be chick? large boat with 50 other (Spanish speaking) people. So we didn´t do the english thing and say nothing...... We moaned and complained (one of us is really good at that) and we got our way, after paying a little more. We ended up on a tour with two other couples on a semi-inflatable. The whales were playing, jumping and one of the babies looked like it was going to jump in our boat.
