Ok, ok, so in between all the travelling from we’ve finally managed to squeeze some time in to update this blog with some pics (yeh yeh we know! About time!! Sorry!)

Randomly we decided to cross over the river to visit Argentina…why?? Coz we heard Ozomatli were doing a free gig there (that, and of course to visit more family!!) So off we went on the Buquebus to Argentina a quick 3 hours ride. We were lucky enough to stay with Yannick’s Tia Yvonne and family…I don’t think there’s isn’t a country where Yannick does not have family!!!

We got there the Saturday and that night Ozomatli were playing at the Roxy in Buenos Aires…on the website it said 7pm so as you would, we at there at 6.30pm. Hmmm imagine our surprise when we didn’t see anyone else there! Thinking out loud “Ehhhhh was it cancelled and we didn’t know about it??” “Do they actually have ANY fans over here in BS??” Luckily at 7pm a few more people walked in….and slowly it started to fill at 9pm when Ozomatli finally came out and performed! Talk about late South American styles ahhhh! As usual, the guys played a spectacular show and sang a lot of their Spanish oldies which they never usually sing (i.e. Cuando Canto and Ya Viene El Sol!). Belle and Rose managed to squeeze past the gangsters, hippies and teenie boppers to get right at the front where they danced the night away (while also singing along to every song they played!). As expected after the show some the guys came off stage to talk to the crowd where we managed to have a quick chat to them. Don’t know if that was the best of ideas as we I’m sure they now have a picture of us pinned up on their wall saying “Keep away from these people - stalkers from Australia!!” haha

Belle left the following day (who nearly missed the boat after arriving 5 minutes prior to departure!) After dropping Belle off, Facundo made the most of the afternoon by showing us around 9 de Julio and the Obelisco which stands in the middle. Somehow he then managed to get us lost where we ended up in the Plaza de Mayo where the Casa Rosada stands. We’re sure he did it on purpose to take us to a few museums jiji Afterwards we caught the bus to Tigre. A beautiful spot half hr from the city where people go and chill out by the river on a Sunday afternoon, watching the sunset and drinking mate! Very relaxing!

Unfortunately time flew and before we knew it it was time to say bye…but a goodbye wouldn’t be a goodbye without Rose stacking it in some way! Running for the train Rose managed to stack it over a pile of bricks, no she didn’t fall but severely managed to jar her toes and could not walk for the next couple of days! They do say it comes in threes!
