Grill AreaThis is a large area where they were grilling every kind of meat you could imagine with the coals from a wood pile.
Finally, I got all the pictures up and going. This bloggin thing is no short task. Especially when you have to go to these slow internet cafes. Everyone is a little different, but they all have there computer problems. Im just getting used to it I guess.
The last couple days have been pretty relaxed since the crazy weekend. I have just been going to school and working out at the gym. Yesterday we went out to a brazilian grill and it was pretty amazing. They had a salad bar with the best selection of seasoned veggies I have ever seen alogn with a bunch of seafood too. Then you just wait at your table and they bring out every type of meat you can imagine and cut it right off the bone on to your plate. Its was a little more expensive than most places down here, but it was well worth it.
Today I met up with the brazilan girls again and we went down the the japanese gardens and the park of Roses. It was a really neat area, but nothing special. On the way out we spottted a couple guys playing street hockey at the

edge of the park and he ended up having a rental business. We all ended up getting roler blades and taking a couple laps around the lake and even playing a little hockey. It was pretty funny seeing these girls cruise around with hockey sticks.
Tonight Im going to try and get some studying done and relax a little bit. I am hoping to take a bus to the beach this weekend to meet up with my old roomate Tom. He says hes having a blast down there right now. I also just got my tickets lined up for the carnival in Salvador, Brazil. Its a really pricy ordeal down there, but its suppose to be the best party in the world. I guess Ill find out.
Now that Ive kind of settled into a little groove here I am itching to move on to the next spot. I keep seeing pictures of advertisements for southern argentina which is like a cross between alaska and the rockey mountain regions. Its also has teh best fly fishing in teh world so you know what my true motavation is. Im looking at tickets now and hoping to leave here in

One tall Church.This is a beautiful church in the San Isidro area that is currently beign renovated
Down on the RiverOmar and I on the Boardwalk along the river in San Isidro. This goes directly to the Atlantic so there were tons of large and small boats all over.
ShoppingThis is the mall we went to. It reminds me of a very high end mall in the states.
Gourmet FishThey sure love there carp here. I was curious about what people were catching with all these large rods until I cam across this guy. They love carp down here.
Mate AnyoneHere we are drinking my first Mate, which is similar to tea, but much stronger and with 100 times more leaves. It give you a little energy too.
Super PanchoWhen we were walking though the village of La Boca I kept seeing all these vendors selling super panchos. I though to myself I must try this local street food. To my suprise it was a simple footlong

I need this for my next houseThere were alot of nice paintings for sale all aling the street, but this one in particular caught my eye. I think it was around 300 bucks so its a little out of my price range at the moment
The Ghetto of La BocaThis is one of the rougher parts of BA. You cant even tell most of this is housing. Its probably the worst I have ever seen.
Buckeyes (the candy)A couple girls I met when watching the national championship game were from ohio and they brought some of the candy buckeyes to the bar. My ohio mom Penny Miller would of been proud.
Buckeye Fan ClubAs you can see there are buckeyes all over the world. Too bad we had to watch the game on a 20 inch TV through a internet connection. They even told us this was the only place in the city it was on.

BakeryThis is the bakery I stop into on the way to class. You can get some unreal pastries for about 20 cents a piece.
Brazilian RestaurantWhat a meal this was. They just keep bringing fresh meet to your table non stop and cut it right off the steak for you. It was the best meals Ive had here yet.
Action ShotSuprisingly they actually did ok on the roller blades. I got them playing against each other for awhile. Very entertaining.
Japanese Garden.. AlmostOn our way out we wanted to check out the Japanese Garden, but they closed down on us a little early. We ended up stopping a cab so we could get this group shot.

It's a good thing you only had a 20 inch screen to view the game ... you wouldn't have wanted to see it any bigger screen than that. (heavy sigh) Can't get away from Buckeyes or hockey, can you? Sounds like you are adapting well ... I expected that. Have fun. Mary
Every time i look at you blog,i look back when i was your age,and think? maybe there was more to see, explore and exsperience,other than starting a Business at 21.and working 350 day's a year and not taking the time to enjoy the wonderful wonders this world and our country has to offer.
