La Boca - the district of the workers and rather poor people in Buenos Aires. This Barrio has a very certain flair - of course also because of the the stadium called Bombonera situated quite in the middle of the barrio, located just very close next to the houses.

The well known "Caminito" is just a touristic place that does not really represent La Boca. Boca itsself is considered to have some dangerous streets when its dark. So it is good to be careful and listen to the friendly people in the shops telling you where to go and where not to go.

The Boca Juniors Football team is one of the most well known and popular teams in the world - their fancrowd is amazing - over actually more than 90 minutes they are singing passionately their Chants accompanied by a huge set of drummers and trombone players which makes visiting a game to a musical experience as well. Their colors are actually "Azul-Oro" but I referred to "Yellow-Blue" to make it easier and keep the connection to the colors of my favourite club in Austria: First Vienna FC 😊

We have been to two games. The first one on 30.4.2009 was an international game of the Copa Libertadores beween Boca Juniors and Deportivo Tachira. Thanks god we could get tickets for the North Sector, where the real local passionate fancrowd of the Boca Juniors - called "Jugador No. 12" (12th player) - is celebrating a real football party. This was a very very great and passionate experience! As the Jugador No. 12 does not want people to take too many photos (obviously as they do not want to be another tourist attraction as the caminito) I just uploaded a view fotos and no videos.

Passionate greets from La Boca!

This is really special as normally it seems to be really hard to get tickets for this sector - we were lucky as for the Copa Libertadores game tickets were left
