I arrive in Buenos Aires knackered and hungry, I leave really knackered. Mine time in BA was spent hanging out in the hostel, eating steak and partying.
I stayed at the Milhouse hostel, this was the place for party hungry backpackers and no coincide was full of Brits, Irish and Aussies. I´ve been bumping into a fellow pair of backpackers all over Peru so it was great to see them again at the Milhouse. Now you may not believe this but I hadn´t really had a good drinking session since leaving. So hanging out with Jim, Rachel, Will and Alan was perfect, like minded individuals. For Xmas eve the hostel held a party then bused us to a club. The party didn´t get going until 10pm and the bus didn´t leave until 2am, a strange Xmas eve usually its all over midnight this time it was only just getting going. In the Xmas partying spirit we arrive at the club, Opera Bay only to find it empty. A little disappointed we continue on anyway, but this is Argentina and things work lightly differently. By 4am it full and pumping we spill outside onto the terrace, which is really just a

Xmas Eve at the Milhouse huge dance floor and watch the sun come up. It finishes around 8am, we head off in search of taxis and Empanadas (very similar to a Cornish pastie). Then back to the hostel to meet fellow party goers stumbling in. Finally get to bed around lunchtime, my Xmas day officially starts around 5pm, I open my presents and decorate my bed, thanks Mum, Holly and Vick then finish the day off with a steak.
In period between Xmas and New Year I turn nocturnal, sightseeing was sacked off pritty quickly, it was then all about the late nights/early mornings. I did try to break out of it but the hostel just won´t let you, a cheeky pint before bed just ends about 5am. A top place.
New Years was similar to Xmas eve, party at the hostel then to the club, Opera Bay. Again it didn´t get going until late, I was still pritty soberísh (for new years standards) by midnight. we saw sun up, they kicked us out around 8am but this time we wanted to carry on and there was rumor of an after club. We get taxi and head off in search of club Kite.

Next best thing to a Christmas tree! The sun is now really hot and the queue massive, not to be deterred by this little problem we just go and stand by the bouncers at the front who helpfully let us in. I did feel sorry for all those other people in the queue but they should now this is Argentina after all. Its club full of people running on a little more than New Years joy. We continue on until they stop around 2pm, all slightly disappointed we head back to the hostel and find a few others still going strong. I finally make it to bed around 4pm´ish. A great New Years eve!
A quick word about the steaks in Argentina, its all true their bloody cheap and really good, picture proof attached! My favourite steak place was ´Des Nievls´ 25 pescos for top quality steak + mash + red wine, roughly a fiver.
I did get round to visiting the Boca Juniors stadium and a couple of things struck me about Boca Juniors. Firstly their stadium is exactly the same layout as the Luton Town ground, 3 seated stands and an executive box stand, I wonder who copied who!? Secondly they have produced

Latest Boca Juniors signing many great players over the years inc Maradonna, Batistuta also like Luton Town Les Sealey, Steve Foster... And thirdly the stadium was a bit shabby, the changing rooms I use on a Sunday morning where in better condition than the home teams dressing room. I could probably draw another analogy with Luton Town here but I´m not going to.
Things I did in BA
-visit the Boca Juniors Stadium
-had a tango lesson
-went to alot of bars and clubs
-eat alot of good steak
Things I wish I done in BA if it wasn't for all the late nights
-a day trip to Uruguay
-visit the elaborate cemetery where the great and good of Argentina are buried in style
-a city tour
-walked through some of the interesting neighbourhoods
-see the view of the city from the Tower de Ingles
-more tango lessons
-try more bars and more steak
