Buenos Aires in Spring........Good air...

Spring has to be my favourite season....
The name Buenos Aires when translated in English simply means "good air" and the air here in spring brings true meaning to its name as the air is permeated with a potpourri of fresh sweet smelling flowers that intoxicates anyone wandering about the city. Parks come alive again as all flora and fauna burst out with their beautiful colours that reflect on the smiling faces of everyone as they welcome the warmth of the sun after a really cold winter.

Katharine and I made no excuses being outdoors again. Spending time with friends, enjoying barbeques and sipping mate.
Running in the parks. Drinking coffee el fresco at a neighbourhood cafe and tucking in some ice cream Argentina is well known for.

We had Cheryl our friend from London in town for a couple of weeks for a holiday. Cheryl introduced me to Katharine two years ago in Malaysia and we had a great time catching up on old times. Ron from Holland whom Katharine travelled with in South America for a couple of stops was passing through as well and we all had some really fun days here in October and November.

K, Cheryl, Ron and I spent a day in Delta Tigre located an hour away from the city. A ride on the train and water taxi brought us to one of the many small little river "islands" that housed little cafes and little weekend homes. We enjoyed the peace and quiet away from the hustle and bustle of the city....

Celebrated my 37th birthday with K in style as she made me grilled Salmon with pillaf rice which we polished off with a glass of rose for breakfast! Celebrating with style for sure.... One of the nicest birthdays ever...
